After seven years of planning, London is set to light up the sporting world tonight with a spectacular show put together by star director Danny Boyle. Will it be a crowd-pleaser, will the games be a success and how has this Olympiad changed London?

London 2012: How to watch die Olympia Eröffnung
Heute Abend werden die Olympischen Sommerspiele 2012 in London eröffnet. Die dreistündige Eröffnungsfeier wieder eine Unzahl an Showeinlagen und prominenten Gesichtern bieten. Aber abgesehen vom Society-Faktor der Eröffnung, geht es um den Einzug der rund 11.000 Sportlerinnen und Sportler aus 200 Nationen, die sich während der nächsten zwei Wochen in 302 Wettkämpfen messen werden. Christoph Kobza hat mit der Historikerin und Medienwissenschafterin Monika Bernold gesprochen und gefragt, worauf man den achten sollte, wenn man die Eröffnung der Olympsichen Spiele daheim vorm Fernseher ansieht und worum es bei der Eröffnung denn eigentlich geht.

Why?
Der amerikanische MC, Sänger und Multiinstrumentalist Yoni Wolf bewegt sich mit seinem Projekt Why? an der Schnittstellen von Indiepop und HipHop. Demnächst werden eine neue EP und ein neues ALbum von Why? erscheinen, Philipp L'heritier hat Yoni Wolf zum Interview getroffen und schon einmal vorgefühlt was zu erwarten ist.

Noch ein bisschen Musik von unserem Artist Of The Week Twin Shadow. Der Mann hat ein Album namens "Confess" gemacht. Twin Shadow sagt, "Ich weiß nicht soviel über den Mann, der die Twin Shadow-Songs schreibt. Aber der Mann in ihnen ist kein guter Mensch." Natalie Brunner findet das interessant.

Krise! Paul Pant und Robert Zikmund haben ihren wöchentlichen Hysterieanfall: Sie streiten im Economy Death Match in wirtschaftlichen Belangen, Krise und Prinzipien und so weiter.

Bildung? Lukas Tagwerker geht noch einen Schritt weiter und berichtet gleich aus dem Gerichtssaal, und zwar, wie es dort den angeklagten Unibrennt-AktivistInnen geht.

In Hoffnung auf eine ausgewogene Berichterstattung liefert außerdem Alex Hertel ein Hip Hop-Interview: Voice Monet ist Rapperin, Spoken Word-Künstlerin, Lehrerin und Malerin.
