just in case you are confronted with an aggresive balloon situation.

So, I have my communicator, I'm well on my way to having a tricorder, and now it looks like a functioning phaser is just a few solders away. Comics Alliance has a post featuring a video and links to a tutorial so you to can save yourself in case you find your ship invaded by hostile intergalactic balloons.

Now if we could just get that transporter figured out...

    holy shit, don't do stuff like that.

    seriously, your eye/reflexes can't blink fast enough to prevent permanent damage. worse: even a reflection (for example like in the video from that frickin water-tap) is enough to cause serious trouble.
