Today's Webtip: Onlive on a Mac

one way to get around that pesky Windows problem.

Microsoft Office is the bane of my existence. Well, it's one of them at least. Or, rather, not having access to it.

Most of the things that I do are pretty much Office free. But there is one situation that I run into every month that can't be solved without it. An Excel timesheet that has macros that simply will not run right unless it's opened in the most current version of Office for Windows.

It drives me absolutely nuts.

And since I don't actually qualify for my own computer at that gig, it means that I either have to beg some time off of a colleague, or install Windows and Office on my Mac. Something which turns those 15 minutes a month into one of my least cost effective jobs.

And that is why it might actually be worth it to spend a few minutes tinkering with a potential workaround. One that is potentially amusing as well.

Installing an Android emulator on my laptop which will then allow me to run a cloud based windows service.

Actually, there are easier ways to solve my particular problem, but they aren't anywhere near as entertaining.
