Ed Stean

With a huge variety of styles, genres and influences, every creation of the singer and songwriter Ed Stean, is a distinctive special piece of music. His deep baritone vocals, created singing melodies and hooklines are very recognizable, what makes it easy to connect peoples hearts and stories. With a very optimistic nature, Ed is always acting and playing his music authentic. Ed was born 1990 in Linz/Austria, which is still his hometown today. Quite spontaneously he started singing and songwriting at the age of 13. Since that day writing songs became just the same passion as singing them. The first creative experiences outside the regular school soon led him to 5 years of piano and vocal education in the city music school in Linz. At the age of 16 Ed also started recording and producing his music. After getting his university-entrance diploma at the VET College for construction and design in Linz, he went one month on a trip across Europe by train. His little ukulele helped him to process all the amazing travel impressions and to create the song Away. From 2010-2015 he was studying vocal pedagogy on the private University in Linz for Jazz & Pop music. Similar to the rest of his life, he always had a lot of different influences from different teachers and mentors. At first it seemed confusing, but later turned out to be a great key to inimitability.
