Holding on is the first song I ever wrote in London and it is about religion and finding your true self. I sing about how I was changing or in this case running from myself in order to get closer to some sort of enlightenment or acceptance but realized that I started to change. After some intense self-reflexion, I realized that I am perfect the way I am and that it’s important to hold onto your true inner self by any means and this goes for anyone. No matter their skin complexion, sexual orientation and identification, religion and whatnot.
