TENTACULA

Der Name ist Programm!
Und dieser Neologismus hält auch was er verspricht: düstere, in Reverb getränkte Melodien und packende Riffs ergeben eine erfrischende Mischung, irgendwo zwischen verträumtem Psychedelic und dreckigem Garage Rock, mit viel Twang und Wumms und einer unverwechselbaren Stimme, die einen – sirenengleich – sofort in ihren Bann zieht!

Da sich im Necronomicon noch kein Eintrag über Tentacula findet, haben sie sich kurzerhand entschlossen ihre eigene Geschichte zu schreiben. Tentaculove, das Erstlingswerk der Band beinhaltet sechs Songs die zum Abtauchen in unbekannte Gefilde einladen. Geheimnisvoll und verführerisch werden seelische Abgründe und Sehnsüchte gleichermaßen behandelt, wie den Geschenken und Tücken des Ozeans sowie seinen faszinierenden Bewohnern gehuldigt wird.
Mit diesem Debüt wird die Ankunft des TENTACULA jedenfalls lautstark eingeläutet. Ob dies nun im Lovecraft’schen Stil auch das Ende der Welt, wie wir sie kennen, bedeutet? Man darf jedenfalls gespannt sein, was da noch kommt!

TENTACULA
Release the... eeehmm... Kraken? Or are we talking about another gigantic cosmic creature both divine and demonic whose arrival means the end of the world as we know it?
Well, maybe.
It might also be seen as a symbol that shows the awe and admiration for both the only flying mermal and possibly the smartest creature living in the oceans. In any case also as a hommage to H.P. Lovecraft’s Cthulhu and Sir Christopher Lee’s impersonation of Bram Stoker’s Dracula.

Long story short... whatever you may interpret into Tentacula...
The name is their program!
And this mystical neologism keeps its promise:
dark, reverb-drenched melodies and haunting riffs create a refreshing blend, somewhere between dreamy psychedelic- and dirty garage-rock. Spiced up with a very distinct female voice that might come from the queen of darkness herself who summons the gods of Liquid Thunder together with her fellow cultists.

While the Necronomicon does not have an entry about Tentacula yet, they chose to write their own history. Tentaculove, the band’s first record just came out on the Vienna based label StoneFree Records on Digipack-CD and finally also on 12“ Vinyl!
