„Shivers“ is Tommy Countach’s first single in 2024 and after a few weeks of experimentation he’s coming back with a whole new, fun genre mix of synth pop, italo disco and new wave. The warm and hooky vocal parts alternate with the cold and dark breakdowns, reminiscent of late 80s and early 90s Depeche Mode. The same dualism is mirrored in the lyrics, where Tommy sings about being caught between youth and adulthood, trying to navigate through life's challenges and societal expectations.

Tommy Countach's new single Clouds is a fast and uplifting retrowave anthem about chasing your dreams, failing and getting back up again. It centers the question whether staying in a safe job or taking the risk on a bumpy road through clouds of uncertainties.
The song was produced in Tommy's home studio in Berlin using only analog synthesizers such as an Oberheim OBX8, Roland JX8P, Novation Peak and a DSI Prophet to create an organic, lush and warm soundscape. This mix of vintage and modern synthesizers is mirrored in the production style that unifies typical 80s sounds in a contemporary surrounding, sonically comparable with artists like The Naked And Famous, NINA or Dagny.

Tommy Countach’s new single “Alright” is serving a mix between Synthwave and Nu-Disco with sonical influences from late 70s and early 80s funk records. In the song he sings "I wish I was better, (...) I wish it didn't matter" hinting at the urge to let loose in a highly demanding society. The dilemma to hide weaknesses and feelings to stay competitive and respected, but also knowing it is wrong and unhealthy. Nevertheless during the production phase Tommy changed the song from a ballad to a danceable mid tempo track to give the listener a more hopeful experience and bring an almost ironic context to the lyric.
“Alright” was written, recorded, produced, mixed and mastered by Tommy in his home studio in Berlin. Typical funky 70s Prophet 5 chords meet a synthwave-ish rolling bass provided by an old school Nord Lead 2x. The synth lead was created with a classic Oberheim accompanied with disco style electric guitars and an iconic digital Wavestation Clavinet.

“Levitate“ is Tommy Countach's third single with Aztec Records. It is a blend between modern Synthwave, Italo Disco and 80s-Rock. In other words: put the hits from The Midnight, La Bionda, Bon Jovi together and stir well.
Classic analog and digital synths, gritty vocals and a semi-acoustic arena rock drumset bring an energetic and upbeat genremix to the dancefloor. Tommy sings about failing and starting over again using the meme-worthy metaphor from videogame GTA „ah shit, here we go again“. The uplifting song and lyrics hint that there is positivity in every new beginning.
Levitate was produced completely in Tommy's homestudio in Berlin. It features hardware synthesizers like Roland D50 chord stabs, a Korg MonoPoly bassline, Linn Drum Samples and a modern Minilogue XD playing the analog/digital hybrid lead melody. They are accompanied by a huge vocal production with over 60 tracks ending in a big vocal canon in the outro.

Stick Around is a cheesy synth pop / synthwave love song I recorded during the lockdown, jaming around with my synthesizers. I wrote about being an artist in Berlin, moving away from home, finding love and finding home again.
It was at a time I felt really let down by some close friends, life and mostly myself. I had put years of work and countless money into musical projects and bands, that ended up failing, so I started to question everything.
I tried to give up music, but it made me even more unhappy, so i thought, I need to stick around doing this. I need me to do this. It took me a few years to finally gather all my remaining self-confidence back and make this happen.
After being a producer and instrumentalist for 15 years, now this is my first, very own solo release featuring only me. My production, my voice, my vision, my DIY everything.

„Back To Me Again“ is Tommy Countach's debut single on Aztec Records. It is based on a 10 year old guitar recording on his phone. Back then he was on the verge of an aspiring music career, but like ever so often, life got in the way. He lost track of himself, until recently rediscovering this old memo and remembering what used to be so heartfelt and inherent. The new single „Back To Me Again“ deals with just that and finally bringing an almost forgotten song idea to light.
