Whsprs

Ein österreichisch-englischer Musiker verarbeitet seine Erlebnisse in der virtuellen Welt in Emo/Punk-Songs.
Night In The Woods
Instead of finding peace and enlightenment, I found the darkest nights I'd ever seen with the most frightening sounds coming from the woods at night (no Slenderman present because he already fled the scene out of fear). I spent 3 days alone (+ whiskey) in the middle of nowhere in a cottage in the woods in order to answer some questions for myself: "What do I want to do with my life? Where will I be in 26 years?". I wasn't planning on writing a song, but amidst the weird noises and the solitude this kinda happened.

Whsprs über sich

WHSPRS bleeds digital lovelife experiences from the world of virtual reality. He draws inspiration from thousands of young individuals who live a "second life" online: They meet up every night by putting on their VR headset to enjoy life in the metaverse together. The artist is part of this spearhead group of progressive digital natives who form friendships and love relationships in the global and endlessly creative world of VRChat. Yes, some of them are in proper love relationships and solely know each other as their virtual avatars!

The WHSPRS project was established in 2020 and is conducted by Anglo-Austrian songwriter and radio-producer Lukas Zeiler. He was born near Vienna (Austria), spent some childhood years in Toronto (Canada) and was musically influenced by his Liverpudlian father. The artist translates his virtual experiences into pop-rock-ish, emo style punk music and produces his visual content as a 3D fox avatar. In 2022, WHSPRS released his debut album "Holoplankton" in which he copes with the confusion and pain he faced after a failed relationship maintained fully in VR. The musician has already played live at the world's biggest VR festivals (including Furality) and has made a name for himself in an underground virtual world which is becoming a reality for a growing number of individuals. He makes this brave new world accessible to a wider audience, be it in the physical or in the virtual realm. WHSPRS aims to tell stories of his digital existence and how VR touches human (and animal) hearts.
