Philippe Zdar von Cassius ist tot
Gemeinsam mit Hubert Blanc-Francard gründete Philippe Zdar (bürgerlich Cerboneschi) 1998 das Dance-Duo Cassius, benannt nach dem Boxer Cassius Clay. Bereits ihre erste Single landete in den UK Top Ten. Sie galten als Pioniere der französischen Elektronikmusikszene.
Zdar hat u.a. mit Air und Kanye West zusammengearbeitet und das mit dem Grammy ausgezeichnete Album „Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix“ von Phoenix produziert.
